Thinkpad X60s - thermal CPU sensor 0x78 inactive

Hello Thinkpaders,

I use TP Fan Control and there is a report about all the thermal sensors available.
The first CPU 0x78 sensor has disappeared. Ie. it says „n/a”.

It causes serious heat problems.

Where the sensor is located in Thinkpad X60s and how to fix it?

Thank you in advance

This is not a TPFanControl issue. It is used as a diagnostic tool only

Yes I have. Slight infos regarding X60, though. Thank you. I suppose the 0x78 one is integrated with the CPU, but am not really sure.

I discovered that some other diagnostic tools could read the CPU temperature correctly. Eg. CoreTemp, RealTemp. This is pretty strange how it worked out this way. Although the temperature is read correctly the fan is sluggish and doesn't even respond to 90°C/194°F. Perhaps it depends on temperature of the graphic card? Or maybe there is a main sensor attached to the cooper radiator?
By the Way: I found a similar forum which consider same problem. With no answer, so far.
