Hi. New user.

Most Thinkpad X61 tablets are 1024x768. However, some were made that were 1400x1050 SXGA+.

There is a Middleton bios for "X61/X61s SXGA+"

There is a Middleton bios for "X61 Tablet"

I have an X61 that is both a tablet *and* is SXGA+.

Which bios do I use?

Thanks

Sorry to be paranoid, but I am, because I don't want to brick this machine.

Are you positive that the "X61 tablet" bios is correct for an X61 tablet that is SXGA+, and not the "X61 SXGA+" bios?

I just want to be certain, because it is ambiguous which one to use, since most X61 tablets are NOT SXGA+.

Worried about flashing the wrong bios!

Also, best to use the CD drive in the Ultrabay to flash the bios, or use a flash drive? I don't know how to create the flash drive though...

Thanks!

X61 Tablet has the same BIOS for XGA and SXGA+.
I always use a bootable USB flashdrive.

OK thank you very much. I will now begin researching the flash drive procedure... I love this machine and I don't want to screw it up.

You wouldn't be able to load the wrong BIOS even if you wanted to.

ThinkPads are smarter than that... :D
