Hello,
I've been following this post on the 2623 and decided to install iAtkos 10.5.7. Install works fine and I have the system up and running and have the appropriate wifi card on order, but I'm having a few issues.
The bluetooth is not recognized oob. Are there any drivers that I can install to make this show up?
The system is unable to play DVDs - says a compatible device is not found (although it registers in system profiler as DVD/RW).
And finally, I installed iWork and it doesn't seem to work - the apps come up but I can add any word processing/slide etc content to the doc - typing, but nothing on the screen.
Any help is appreciated, thx in advance!

Re: goodbye osx
Sadly Steve Jobs and co. are disinclined to show any real kindness and compassion to the, especially the benighted domestic, computer world, by releasing OSX to the generic Intel machine - a vast amount of human misery could be sorted in one fell swoop.elqed wrote:The bigger shame is that Apple isn't willing to sell osx for non-apple hardware. I'd happily fork over money to run an uncompromised osx on my t60p - it would be the absolute perfect laptop (for me).
There would be vast swarms of refugees.
Where Microsoft have Apple particularly over a barrel, and indeed fish-like, in a barrel, is Microsoft Office for Mac OSX - that is vital for any corporate or government credibility on Apple's part, yet of financial inconsequence to the coffers of Microsoft.
Yes, the perfect laptop would be a Thinkpad running OSX natively.
To add insult to injury, Lenovo seem to have wimped out on having a pre-installed Linux option.
