10.6.8 on T60p - screen resolution help

#1 Post by Dbruyere » Wed Jun 20, 2012 4:40 pm

I just installed 10.6.7 on my T60p and then updated. I'm having problems with my screen not showing the proper resolution and I've searched and read and tried but have had no luck. I've had to reinstall twice. I'd like to know how to get my video card and screen functioning fully. Any help would be very appreciated.

specs:

T60P 2007-93U
4gb ram
FireGL v5200
1400x1050 screen

Let me know if any more info is needed. I used modcd and purchased a retail copy of os x 10.6.7 from the apple store. Beyond that I've only replaced the Apple80211Monitor.bundle to get my wireless working. Don't really know what else I need to do in order to have a fully functional mac so if there is anything else I might need beyond the resolution issue......

Thanks!

It seems I've got more than just resolution issues. My sleep and sound do not work. I'm assuming my mic may not work either (which doesn't really bother me).

Also, here's the Graphics/Display info:

Back working on this and I'm still having the same problems. I've tried to read through some other threads but every time I try something I have to start over and reinstall everything. Anybody out there with some advice? At this point I just want to get my display working properly. The sound sort of works now just can't get 1400x1050. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I have read through it a couple of times but nothing I've tried seems to work. I'm a bit lost when it comes to the extracting of the tables. I was just hoping there was a quick and easy fix for my display issue. I've got a bit of a unique system because I replaced the motherboard with a T60p board (my system was originally a T60) and I don't have the wide screen that is originally associated with that board. I'm continuing to try using silencer's post as a guide and I've had to start from scratch every time.
