DVD Drivers?

#1 Post by Chuck-TX » Sun Dec 14, 2008 7:32 pm

I'm not certain what's going on, but I'm having new problems burning CDs & DVDs in some programs. There are no errors showing in MS Device Manager. I reinstalled the offending programs, but no improvement. I'd like to reinstall the drivers for the DVD/CD drive, but I can't find them on Lenovo's site.

Then I spent more time looking for specs for the notebook (a 3000 V100, 0763-2VU) in order to find the specs for the DVD drive, but I can't find detailed specs. I'm not helpless, but I am unable to locate these things. Can anybody help? I'd really like a link to the drivers, but short of that, a link to the detailed product specs would be great.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Those drives are natively supported by XP and don't require separate drivers.
You could reinstall them this way: go into Device Manager, and uninstall the driver from the CD/DVD Properties.
Then either reboot or hit the Add New Hardware in Control Panel.
