Question...what does "XP Upgradable" mean?

E.g. 3000, IdeaPad, S- and U-Series, B-Series and so on...

Question...what does "XP Upgradable" mean?

#1 Post by malachont » Thu Oct 08, 2009 7:41 pm

If I see a U series notebook product on a retail site listed as having an OS of:
"Windows Vista Business / Windows XP Professional Downgradable"
does this mean it comes with XP? or a DVD enabling me to restore to XP? or just the license to do so and I'd have to order a DVD from Lenovo?

also does anyone have an idea why it seems to me that Lenovo stopped pushing the U330 in favor of newer models, strange as its quite a new model (only a year or so old) is there anything wrong with it? the 450p is newer but slightly heavier about half as fast - cpu-wise. Why would I choose it if I want a fast light machine with a DVDRW drive?

thanks
