X301 Dual IDA BIOS?

#1 Post by Bibin » Sun Sep 28, 2014 8:36 pm

I have seen a lot of threads where people talk about the modified X301 BIOS files, but at the time of writing they were only available via PM as lenovo was still updating the X301. It's now 2014, though, surely this isn't still happening. Has the X301 Dual IDA / Whitelist bios been posted publically anywhere? I would like to use it on my X301.

Publicly not.

You should check the X301 owners thread on NBR and ask if someone could email it to you.

My understanding is that there is a version that was posted on MDL, but am not sure of specifics...

Good luck.

The MDL BIOS only removes whitelists, but does not add dual IDA.

For those of you who are courageous enough: How to enable IDA ...

To get it going, you'll also need to use Throttlestop.
Have fun!

PS: you can try and ask Aurora for a link to the X301-Middleton-IDA BIOS.
