How to get the price difference, please explain it detailed?

Hi Admi,

I bought a X200s on 16 Aug 2009. I found the price dropped $ 162 on 20 Aug 2009. I have phoned lenovo sales for 6 or 8 times. Till now I don't know how to do a price protection. I have already created a Quote. I have sent out 5 emails this quote to lenovo. the email address I sent was websales@lenovo.com and another atyourseverce@thinkteamlenovo.com. But I have never gotten any feedback.

My question is what shall I do next? What is the right way to get the price difference?

I would call the sales department, 866-428-4465, and give them one more opportunity. Since you have not mentioned what was said during the prior calls you made, it's hard to be more specific. However you do have the option to ask to have your call escalated if you are not getting results. As for a supervisor, do not take "they are busy for an answer, be persistent and courteous, many times that's all it takes. If that fails to work for you, please provide more details as to what was said, etc.

Thanks for your kind reply!

The 1st time I called lenovo sales was early on 21 Aug 2009. A man said I need to creat a quote to prove the same configuration and cheaper price, then email them. So, I created the quote and email to websales@lenovo.com.

on the 2nd call, the lady said there was a special email adress for the price proction plan, which was atyourservice@thinkteamlenovo.com. I was supposed to email to them. So, I transfered the email to atyourservice@thinkteamlenovo.com.

the 3rd time I call lenovo sales, a lady said they can't deal with the price proctection plan untill lenovo has gotten the cash from credit card company. I need to check the status of the laptop. I checked it. it was said the laptop was delivered on 20 Aug 2009.

I called back the 4rd time, it was said that I need to wait at least 8hs to get the reaply.

I have called this afternoon, I was told to wait for the email.

till now, I haven't got any email feedback. what should I do if I couldn't get any email back untill tomorrow? Have I done everything correct? Are those two emails address above correct?

It seems like you have taken the correct steps. If you do not hear back by mid day tomorrow I would call 877-984-4657. Explain your story, tell them you have waited patiently and when can you expect to be compensated for the difference.

just wanted to add here how i just got pwnd. ordered 18th or so, go back to site check today they added an option for x200 "12.1 inch w/ LED BL - subract $170"

so im paying that much more and only getting a ccfl monitor, bought 5 days earlier, still in the mail, anyone who ordered same time as me and not shipped cancelled their order, and grabbed the better hardware, while lenovo just says "sorry" to me. arrrgghhh i hope theres a price drop soon cause i really feel kicked in the nads right now.

I got an email which looks like reply to the 1st email I sent out on 21 Aug 2009. I was aked to creat a quote and wait to the order ships out. It is good that I got a feedback. But you know, I have already emailed them the quote on 22 Aug 2009. I also told them the order had been shipped out on 20 Aug 2009.

Whatever, I reply this email and attached the quote again. I hope this could be finished sooner.

Ya I saw that, only on the 51st state page for some reason, hope it comes down south soon
