I would've so jumped on the x200s if it were the LED screen, but meh.

Anyone have any idea the difference between the Enhanced X200s and the regular if you spec 'em identically? The only thing I can tell is the Enhanced costs a few bucks more but the Windows licenses are cheaper (which doesn't benefit me).

I want to order one today but I'm worried there'll be some other minor benefit to paying the $70 (or however much it is, I forget) extra for the Enhanced.

Thanks!

there seems to be a flurry of stackable coupons for the x200. I missed the UPS one last week which I could kick myself for with x200 down to 799. I see the outlet store is off line until Oct 21, when the current lenovo sale ends. My question is does all activity suggest a model change and/or permanent new lower price for the x200? I'm assuming others have followed these coupon and sale deals before and might see a pattern.

Time to get a bigger pair of boots. You don't want to know what the Amex 1-day sale price was. (Which I missed by three hours. Wish it had been more prominently featured.)

There doesn't seem to be a rational for the sale prices. The deep discounts occur 3-4x per year, so far - so I would expect to see them again before February; and I'll hope they have stock with the high-res screen.

Just FYI, this coupon works with the CPP and EPP stores, so if you've got legitimate access to either you can use the coupon there as well. I haven't compared prices though -- it might end up coming out the same.

Agreed Oct-Nov has to me seemed to be the best time of the year to get a deal on a Thinkpad. I tend to buy in Feb-Apr time of the year (tax return season) and I always seem to pay slightly more because I wait. At least that's what I have observed since watching Thinkpad prices since about Jan 2005. YMMV.

I'm tempted, even though I'm in excellent condition right now with sweet-running T60 for home use and X60s for the coffeeshop.

Even through the Employee Purchase Program coupons are valid. You can save an extra 10% on a X220 with the following coupon until 6/8/2011.

That coupon isn't valid for the EPP/CPP store. Coupons usable with the various special-purchase programs usually start with "USX", while ones for the retail store often start with "USP".

Are there coupons which would be valid for Lenovo France website (wich apparently started having configure-to-order X220)?

If there are, you will only find them in France. Each country has its own set of eCoupons.

There is usually an email notification for eCoupon deals, that you can sign up for on your local Lenovo web site.

Bought this off of eBay last week since it looked like a good deal for the capacity. My original intention was to use it with my adapter for my Z61m project, but given that it's a 1.8" Micro-SATA form, it would be a great upgrade SSD for those of use still using the X300 in original 64Gb configuration. Here's the link:

The Lenovo PN on mine was 45N7952 The seller looks like he has several.

Thanks schen! I followed your link and found a listing below your Seller's with the 1.8" Lenovo 128gb SSD without the adapter case -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/320779274591?ru ... 3D1&_rdc=1
It was listed at $100 with a best offer -- Seller took my $80 offer with free shipping. I already have a newmodeus 1.8 to 2.5 adapter case, so I didn't pay extra for the case.

Seller lists the SSD as 'refurbished' instead of used, but either way it is a pull from some Thinkpad or possibly an Ideapad? It may not be as recent as the SSD you purchased, but it is the same SSD I already have in some of my Thinkpads, so I know I will be happy with it :)

Well; I'll have to say, thanks back to you now that I followed your link to that other seller and bought another 128Gb SSD so I don't have the issue of having to decide whether to put the bigger drive in the X300 or Z61m!

Actually, after reading your post, I tried offering at $75, he countered at $85 and we settled at the $80 that you bought yours at. Now everybody knows what he's willing to sell at. At least for 1 at a time anyway.

Is anybody going for the blackfriday hot deal?

I'm tempted by the X220 Tablet. However, on their website on the main BF page, it lists an X220t for $919 after ecoupon. When you click on it to access the X220 tablets page, the lowest price is $1039 after ecoupon. Anybody know how to access the elusive $919 tablet??

Just bit on the regular x220. Couldn't think of anything better at $750 (i5, IPS, 9 cel battery).
