Elsewhere on the forum I read advice to uninstall Access Connections. Since I'm suffering from symptoms similar to others posted, I tried the uninstall. It failed. Reason: CTOR.DLL could not be found. The path for this driver was \Programs~\Common~\Install~\engine\6\Intel3~\ctor.dll.
Does anyone know what steps I can take to complete this uninstall?
I'm running XP Pro on an X300. thanks!

Uninstall Access Connections
Re: Uninstall Access Connections
Newer versions (from about 18 months ago) of Access Connections live in Add/Remove Programs. If it is in there and will not uninstall, the traditional way to fix this is to install it, restart, and then attempt to uninstall. That method works for any number of software offerings. Of course, your userid must be in the adminstrators group to do this.

Re: Uninstall Access Connections
Thanks! That worked. Does this trick work for all software? Microsoft SQL Server is installed on my X300, won't uninstall, and the usual workaround looks extremely time consuming. If reinstall/uninstall would work i'd be in heaven.
