I have ThinkPad sl500 (OS Win7). Modem MOBILE BROADBAND MODULE F3507g works, Internet connection established through the SIM, no problems here .. But cannot get the internal GPS to work. When start the application ThinkVantage GPS, the message says:
Think Vantage GPS:
The GPS NMEA COM Port is not availabineed to check the following things:
-Another GPS aplication is using the com port
-Com port is disabled. You can enable the com port in device Maneger.

In System (device manager) COM in LPT have this:
- F3507g Mobile brodband Device Management (COM6)
- F3507g Mobile brodband GPS port (COM4)

But there I do not see anywhere GPS
However, never work and satellites never found. Is it possible the GPS hardware needs to be activated somehow, (how and where?) other than just starting the Thinkvantage GPS application.
Garmin Mobile PC work, but not find GPS.
What to do, that works, to activate GPS unit an use it on Garmin or EarthBridge (GoogleEarth)?
At the same time I wonder if there is any navigation program for use with laptop?
