R400 ram

I have a R400 running windows 7 64Bit with 4gb ram,a friend of mine came over and gave me two sticks of ram but they are pny and say 4gb DD3 SODIM,H POH153733 on them? can not fine much on them and never heard of DD3 ram,will these work in my R400 or should i just put them in my junk draw. thanks

Your R400 tkes DDR3-SDRAM memory at 1066 MHz in 204-pin SO-DIMM form-factor.
PC3-8500 memory is also called DDR3-1066.

The PNY RAM is probably DDR3, but I can't tell what speed from the numbers you have. If they physically fit the slot, there is no harm in trying them to see if it will boot with them...
