I've downgraded Vista to XP and installed most of the drivers from Lenovo Support page.
But after downgrading there is no brightness regulation. Other FN keys are working, and when I press the FN and Home, or End (regulation keys) - the screen shows 15 steps scale, but the screen is always the same. What driver should I get? I was using System Uptade but there was no effect. Maybe some settings on Power Management? On battery it's the same.

Re: R61e no brightness regulation
Check the BIOS LCD setting, it may have been set to HIGH, and then it is ALWAYS on at the brightest level.
Change it to NORMAL, then check again.

Re: R61e no brightness regulation
LCD is "normal" on BIOS I have no idea... Recovery doesn't work (Vista), but the service partition egsists. It only shows Boot Device Screen.
Edit: I've managed to run Recovery. But when I start the process it's going on for a while, and it's "processing 0ADPE10" and total progress is 0.

Re: R61e no brightness regulation
any help? Brightness can't be changed even from power manager. On BIOS it's changing by hotkeys with no problem,
