TP R52 WiFi issue

#1 Post by dogbarber » Thu Oct 17, 2013 4:57 pm

Hello everyone.

I have recently obtained am almost brand new barely used R52 off of ebay and I am having a hard time figuring out how to get the wireless turned on.

I have always wanted a Thinkpad and I couldn't pass up this opportunity. It came with no charger (though I have one) and no hard drive. I inserted a 90G Fujitsu drive I had from an HP laptop of he same vintage.

I've gone ahead and installed XP 32 bit.

I'm somewhat familiar and capable around computers and have downloaded the wireless drivers from the Lenovo driver site but still nothing. I opened up the computer to make sure the wireless card was in there and I saw it had a Anatel card installed. So I assumed that part was good.

Would someone be kind enough to help out a tad? It's me dream to have a functioning Thinkpad! Even if it is old!
