Can T400 memory be used in a z61t?

#1 Post by jimwg » Sun Oct 02, 2016 2:28 pm

Greetings!

I am confused by all serial and capability issues regarding memory from Crucial and eBay, so I'll get my answer from the sage horses' mouth here! Can I use a 2gig memory module left from a T400 in a z61t or else just sell it or lie gathering dust? Thanks for any tips!

No, the pinouts are different (T400 and later use DDR3 while Z6x/T6x/R6x use DDR2) so it won't fit ;)
