Greetings to all Thinkpads' users :)

my problem is the following -- by accident (you can also call it stupidity, but well, only one who doesn't work, doesn't do mistakes) I provided voltage of +15V to my beloved R61i's headphone port :oops: The port still delivers signal to headphones, but only when the sound is set to maximum and it is very weak. The question would be if it is possible to fix this issue and do not change computer's MB?

The type of my "calculator" is 7732-A84.

Edit: I forgot to mention, that I am familiar with soldering and PCBs to some extent.

Most likely you blew the sound chip. Replacing that would be rather challenging without an SM rework station.
