I looked in Google images and among all the batteries and keyboards there were a couple of images of an F31 laptop. It looks a far cry from the T series.
Hoping that helps.

From Google Images (many thanks Killer), this is the best collection of pictures I can find.

Looking at the 2nd image, at the right hand corner of the keyboard there's the "Entertainment Shuttle", andl also the lid clearly shows the 5 Olympic rings, so I wonders if it was a special made for the Chinese Olympics.

Also on another site there's mention of Lenovo Tianyi F31 series (scroll half way down a very long page), and a somewhat strange name "Legend for nobility" (for F30 series).

I would still be interested in more info, or a link to a manufacturers site.

Reason for asking is a customer wants it repairing and I'm becoming intrigued.

Hi Nick,

Perhaps it might be worth a call to Lenovo UK. They are based in Hook near Basingstoke in Hampshire. Of course their website quotes one of those infernal 0870 numbers which cost you an arm and a leg to call ... especially when they put you on hold for 15 minutes.

By a devious method called www.saynoto0870.com I found alternative numbers. A couple of them are Greenock numbers and are genuine for warranty calls.
Forget those because they will probably link to Bratislava ... blimey, life is complicated! (Do you remember the days when you could call your local bank? )

01256 741600 should get you through directly to Hook. Maybe you should then ask for Captain Hook?

Seriously, by the time you've exhausted all their by-passes you may be lucky enough to speak to an intelligent human being. Good luck. :)
