How to get better insurance rates

#1 Post by RealBlackStuff » Thu Nov 19, 2015 4:37 pm

I found a neutral website that can give you some amazing price quotations for car insurance:
http://www.nerdwallet.com/insurance/com ... ance-rates

The price differences are rather stunning, see for yourself!

I know.
The USA has some of the most expensive insurance rates, compared to Europe!
I should have an over 50 years no-claim bonus, but do you think they give you a discount for that?
No way.
They even increase your premium every year "due to inflation" or any other foul excuse.
There's also no discount for being with them over a longer period.
American insurers are the world-champion rip-off-ers!
That's why I change insurance companies regularly.
The latest change is from AARP/Hartford to Safeco (part of Liberty Mutual).
This saves us almost $300 per year (for 3 cars) for actually better insurance conditions.
(No, I won't go into any further details...)

Doesn't sound that neutral to me based upon the "fine print" (emphasis mine):
