PM Notification somewhat erratic?

#1 Post by DrGrafix » Sun Jun 06, 2004 10:26 am

Don't know if it's just me, my machine or what, but I see a note at the top ofthe screen saying I have 1 new message so I click on it and it says you have no new messages. One time I did a screen refresh and a new message did appear (last week). But I had a notification 5 minutes ago and then there was nothing in the IN box.

Anyone else having these problems?

James

I had a similar problem - with a PM to/from yourself - you sent me a very kind message to which I replied - or rather, I'm pretty sure I did (!) but there seems to be no record of this being sent. It's not that I'm expecting a reply, more that I'm not at all sure you actually received it or not. (Confused?) Just my three pennyworth...

PS. PM entitled 'Cool Wheels'

Ian,

If you PM replied to my message I never received it!

Just for the sake of the thread chronology, you responded to my original "Cool Wheels" message and shared some history with me, to which I did reply and you apparently wrote back, but this message is the one that's missing. N'est pas?

I see you're off again Tuesday, driving the new wheels this time. Just remember that the floating VW ads were advertising hyperbole, so be sure to take the ferry or Chunnel!

Regards,

James

Yup, you got it (or rather, you didn't!)

Yes I'm back off in the new wheels - well, at least I hope so - I went out today (3rd day of ownership!) pressed the button to lower the driver side window, and the glass fell down inside the door ! It's Sunday, and I'm not at all happy leaving the car out in the road until I can drive to the VW garage tomorrow - oh well...

That was when we left home to go out to lunch - when we went back to the car after eating, I discovered the rear offside tyre flat - bloody great nail in it!

Do you think someone's trying to tell me something...

Yeah. You need a Trunk Monkey (or perhaps in your case it's a Boot Monkey.) Episode 4 is particularly apt :)
