Buy of the day:
X32

Just picked up an X31 with a bad board from a forum member last week too. It has all the parts I will need for this one

Made an offer, since I can't figure out why my T61 will not charge (see thread). I will probably just part it out....

T61p with 14" SXGA+ screen:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Lenovo-Thinkpad-T61 ... 2521wt_905
warranty - Expiration date: 2012-03-12

they also have a W700 with ~7 months warranty and an X61 with a ~year warranty.

I just bought an x61 tablet from them, SXGA+ screen and a ~year lenovo warranty. it was cheap. :D the pen came broken, so I asked about it and they're sending me a new one. they respond extremely quickly.

edit: parts lookup says that T61 comes with an XGA screen. :( mine said "WXGA" in the auction but i just looked up the parts.

"IBM TP X6 UltraBase 42W4635 MULTI-DVD/CD-RW+AC Adapter" -- BIN $29.99

Seems like a good price if you've got a non-tablet X6x machine.

all have a SXGA+ screen, missing battery/hard drive/AC adapter/caddy and bios is locked so they'll probably sell cheap. these look great if you're looking for an SXGA+ screen or want an extra year warranty. also i'm not the seller. just like seeing how much an X61 tablet with an SXGA+ screen will sell for.

Originally I was going to post on the Thinkpad New/Comments section but I saw this and decided to not make my own thread so here It goes:

Hi guys, this year I've been bad and been getting Thinkpads & misc. laptops here and there and I was wondering if it would be good if I just flip em.
But there are things I am unsure of, as some parts I wouldn't be able to test them currently (like a monitor or keyboard from a laptop w/ dead mobo)
I would presume I should just sell them the part untested on ebay, but I wouldn't know if it would work or not. I presume I could just sell it "for recycling" or "untested" but I am not sure if it is fine to risk a bad review.

I aquired a bad T60p for $28, thing won't boot the HDD, so i presume the mobo is bad. I could sell the monitor lid and Ram, possibly the CPU and fan, I'm hoping to make at least $40 out of it, but I am not too sure of it, I got a basic rundown of the fees so 10% would be knocked out of it what it ends up selling for.
Same thing with an A20M, it just needed some parts but it seems to be working fine on WinXP just too big and old for me (blame youtube for that). Most of it works, I do want to sell it as a a whole working laptop then just part it out. I'm guessing 40 bucks w/o shipping, but I wouldn't know. Screen is dim... but CD drive and floppy work fine as they were pulled from a T20.

Ah and I'd like to know what a 380Z could fetch for, but I think I would sell that to someone here on the forums, seems to work fine, just need to figure out the video driver issue as it doens't have a full screen in the OS but it does in bios...

Picked it up for 30 bucks at a pawn shop, posted it on the legacy forums. I'm hoping to sell it for 60 w/ the bag and charger.
