Linux problem on TP 600X

I tried Linux forums to no avail so I thought maybe you guys.....

Anyway, TP 600X with Linux Mint 8 has suddenly decided not to remember the router password. As the password has a large number of letters, it gets to be a pain to enter it each time I boot up.

This happened clear out of the blue. Any ideas for a cause/remedy?

Sounds like an OS problem. Just to be sure, have you run a HD scan for any errors? Linux keeps all of its information on the HD and since you said that it all of a sudden started, it might be the HD.

I was running Ubuntu 10.4 on a 240X and the DH controller went out. Took be for ever to figure it out. Wouldn't take a reload.

Anyway, good luck.

Well shucks, I hit the icon in the lower right and went into 'edit connections' Got to 'wireless' and goodness, all kinds of connections I had not seen before even though I had looked the first time trouble popped up. Apparently every time I re-installed the password, it set up a new connection. So I methodically started deleting connections until I got to 'b' when the system started working. 'b'? Where did that come from?

I have no idea but I am not going to fool with it. Apparently it was always there but I never noticed. But then, I never had reason to look either.

Another unsolved scientific mystery.
