Replacing CD-ROM drive in Thinkpad 385CD

#1 Post by CoreDuo08 » Wed Nov 18, 2009 8:39 pm

Earlier I came across this and it got me thinking. Would I be able (and would it be feasible) to use the 385CD's Pin 1 (+12V) and Pin 4 (Ground) from the battery (I double checked the pinout in the HMM) and Pin 4 (+5V) from the PS/2 keyboard port instead of Pin 41 on IDE to power something like this (using this) connected to something like this?
