Well, I got Puppy on with one small glitch. It needs the disc to boot up. The screen reads that is it loading the kernels to allow search for the HD, then it searches the HD for the rest of the boot.

So why not go directly to the HD? I have tried various permutations in the BIO startup to no avail. The CD has to be first. If the HD is first, the error message is that there is no program on the HD.

pup_421.sfs and pup_save.2fs are on the HD.

It does not seem to recognize 'Puppy acpi=off'

Any suggestions? I have GOOGEL'd to no avail. Nobody seemed to have a problem similar to mine.

Seems to work pretty good otherwise.

Did you install and configure GRUB? Puppy does not do this automatically, but does guide you through the whole process. Just follow ALL the steps in the Puppy Universal Installer. This YouTube video might be helpful.

As I only have the Puppy OS on the disk, didn't think of GRUB. I will look into it.

Thanks.
