730T Windows for Pen Computing

#1 Post by hwattys » Tue May 17, 2011 8:27 am

Does anybody know where to get a copy of the Windows for Pen Computing 1.0 (for Windows 3.1) for the 730T? I have exhausted myself looking for it online. I found a version for a Grid tablet but no joy on the 730T.

Not sure if this was a free addon my MS or not... can anyone confirm?

It is READILY available on the web from a simple google search... I just downloaded the 7z file archive of it, will post a link and backup mirror if someone can confirm it's free status.

The one I got was also a 7z archive but was specifically for a Grid Tablet computer and did not include the drivers for the 730T digitizer. Apparently each manufacturer packaged its own version of Windows for Pen Computing specific to its hardware. If you know where to get the 730T version I would be grateful.

Yea, that's the one floating around.

http://ps-2.kev009.com:8081/ohlandl/2524/730Tos.html has a lot of info, but nothing good yet... aside from the 730T and 710T have the same digitizer.

Looks like your gonna have to get lucky and find someone with a couple of old floppies lying around :(

Thanks for the driver vkim!

This IS what was needed to supplement the GRID install floating around, while it may be against the rules to distribute the "Windows for Pen Computing 1.0" file for the GRID... i still dunno on that one... the ps10.zip only contains the 2 driver files and a txt file about howto use them... so, here is a mirror of that portion...

http://www.conradshome.com/thinkpad/730t/ps10.zip

still dunno if the others are legal to distribute, but they can be found none the less on google.
