Hi, what should I think of this product?

sorry, it is in czech, but you would be able to figure out the specs anyway, I hope.
The price incl VAT is cca 950 USD. remember, things here cost a quarter more than in the USA


this forum seems to state it is not even a thinkpad.
However, they seem to be crawling up in specs...so how is it, is this a thinkpad in a weaker chassis?

2. secondly, should I hurry to buy my T520 if I want one? I assume if higher specced Edges will be released, they will have to make
the real T series machines more expensive, what do you think? a few weeks ago, I saw lowest specced T520 machines costing like this Edge.
Any commetns? thanks

Hi there

not sure what your 'requirements are' for this new laptop ...... for what use you buyin the new model...
ONE MAJOR differance is that EDGE = has HDMI port ..... and current model of Edge is still not the newer INTEL PROC'ors(no ivy bridge yet) So i would waite for few months to get these newer processors ,,,,,(sorry I havent check their latest USA website,,,,, maybe Europe has these newer proc in Edge Series)

However the T52xx series will have everything else that Edge has except HDMI port (or better spec's) PLUS have a BETTER MACHINE WITH BETTER GRAPHICS CARD( discrete card models)...better screen/display options etc etc ,,,,,

So if HDMI is someting you can do without - I would go for the T5xx series machine- its lots better and much more usefull/durable as a 'production' machine etc ...IMHO
