Gorilla glass lifting slightly on new X1
Gorilla glass lifting slightly on new X1
I received a new X1 today and have spent time setting it up, plugged in. I just noticed the gorilla glass appears to have slightly lifted on the bottom right & left edge. This isn't good is it?

This is making my stomach turn! I will be holding onto the W520 (4276-3NU) for a while in case this X1 thing is a dud.

No, this was the X1, not the X1 Carbon. Also, you need to keep in mind that for all electronic devices, there will always be an occasional dud. If you are willing to buy only products that have zero complaints on the internet, there would be nothing that you could buy. Even for your beloved W520, this problem has been documented: http://www.classlawsuit.com/lenovo-thin ... -problems/ . So, should you dump it right now?Greg Gebhardt wrote:This is making my stomach turn! I will be holding onto the W520 (4276-3NU) for a while in case this X1 thing is a dud.

Re: Gorilla glass lifting slightly on new X1
OK my shipping date of 8-21-2012 has come and gone. Still "released for manufacturing". Have emailed sales to see when they expect shipment! I ordered just hours after they had it available so lets hope that Lenovo get it moving. In the past my hardware that was ordered always shipped BEFORE the date expected.
