How to delete bookmarks from browser
How to delete bookmarks from browser
I was finally able to purchase my TPT - 64 GB, 3G
The browser is loaded with bookmarks I don't want. There is an "add" button but I can't find the way to delete the bookmarks I don't want.
On phones, there is always the setting button that sometimes works within a program. The TPT doesn't seem to have one.
Also how do I delete stuff from the center of the home page?
I don't listen to music on my pad and I'd like something else sitting there.
Actually I'd like to put my "regular" (not gmail) app there but it seems too big for the home page.
I only have it 24 hrs and I'm in the midst of a conference so not so much time to play with it. It does seem somewhat slow.
However I like it.
With thanks for the help

Re: How to delete bookmarks from browser
Hi Shofar,
Can I assume that since you have just purchased this laptop, you are using Windows 7, and the browser in question is Internet Explorer?
While I don't use Internet Explorer, or Windows 7 either for that matter, I seem to remember an "edit bookmarks" menu item which will allow you to move, rename and, of course, delete bookmarks at will.
FYI, this is not really a ThinkPad hardware question. It is a how to use Windows questions. Anyway, hope this helps.

Doh! Since the poster didn't say, guess I should have paid more attention to what the hardware is. Anyway, I have no idea, but I bet Google would know.

Re: How to delete bookmarks from browser
Yes this an Android/TPT question.
The stcck browser comes with bookmarks that I don't want and will never use.
Why should I clog my bookmarks with ones I don't like when I have enough that I do like...
Clarified question:
How do we remove the bookmarks from the Stock TPT, Android OS 3.1?
Thanks
Shofa

Long press will bring up a menu most the time. Remove items on home page by holding on the icon and then touch and hold the trash can at the bottom of the screen at the same time and when you let go, it is gone.
