Slim Bluetooth Keyboard with typing feel of a Thinkpad?

#1 Post by crashnburn » Sat May 26, 2012 2:11 pm

Slim Bluetooth Keyboard with typing feel of a Thinkpad?

I am posting this here because I want to get a Bluetooth Keyboard for my iPad.

People who KNOW Thinkpad Keyboards, and most likely will look for Bluetooth keyboards that have similar FEEL should be here?

Any good finds / experiences with SLIM/ Portable Bluetooth Keyboards with Thinkpad like Feel?

Built in rechargeable via USB/ Micro USB would become essential and working through USB also (with PC) would be a BONUS.

Well, you can cross Apple's bluetooth keyboard off the list right away. Have one in my family room for our Mac Mini which we use as a home theater PC. The keyboard is passable for that function but for general purpose computer use it would drive me crazy.

Lot of Mac users seem to swear by it. Any people who used Macs & Thinkpads both and share some insights on how they are different?

Mac users swear by Macs, but there's nothing special about a Mac. The MacBook keyboards are mediocre, they just don't know any better. I don't know if you're going to find a decent Bluetooth keyboard, as they sacrifice key response for portability.

Actually, I had once 1/2 years back found something that resembled the structure of Thinkpad keyboards.
Unbranded piece of hardware from China. I figured I'd buy it, but lost track with other life activities.
I have it bookmarked/ saved somewhere but I need to find it. Let me check and see if I can post it.

I've been looking for any kind of wireless ThinkPad keyboard with TrackPoint for some time now have have always wondered why they haven't done it. Something like those UltraNav boards w/o a wire, Bluetooth OR RF. It would be great for my HTPC. Until then, I'll just have to keep using the Logitech Edge; hate the touchpad though.....invention of the devil!

Anyone tried one of these Lenovo Tablet Keyboard? I'm very tempted but it does not state if it is blue tooth or not. It does have a USB plug so I'm wondering if it is just a USB keyboard and not a bluetooth keyboard. Oh if you do a search on EBay for it you can find better pictures than lenovo has on there web site.

yes, i have one and no, its not BT..
and the trackpoint is not a trackpoint.. its a "nub" that the user can rub one direction or the other and thus achieve a similar effect to a true trackpoint..
its OK but not what i would choose given a choice..

also the keys are thast new type and not the true thinkpad keyboard type..
again, not what i would choose but it does serve the purpose..
