I created an image of a tablet 2 using dism in a winpxe USB drive, saving images to \images in the USB drive. Now I must restore said image. So I did something like this
Code: Select all
dism /apply-image /imagefile:d:\images\install.swm /swmfile:d:\images\install*.swm /index:1 /applydir:c:\
I thought that would copy the image back from \images in the USB drive (d:) to the Tablet's drive (c:) and configure it as bootable and ready to go. And, a quick glance made me think c: now had a proper Windows install. Well, maybe it did copy but it is not booting, instead going right to boot device menu. Sounds like the install was not successful, or at least the tablet does not think it has a bootable partition.
Where can I go from here? Is there a way to verify that I have a proper bootable partition? AFAIK, I have both security chip and secure boot disabled.
