Can the keyboard patch mod for x230 work if it is librebooted?

Hey, I recently bought a librebooted x230 and would like to mod a x220 keyboard in it. I watched a couple guide and read http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Install_C ... _ThinkPads but I dont know if I can patch the EC on xx30 series thinkpads to make the classic 7-row keyboards work on my librebooted x230 since its not the regular bios.

From what I've read before (haven't checked it recently), do the keyboard EC patch before flashing coreboot.
