Running Ubuntu 12.04, Banshee will stutter say roughly once every two minutes of MP3 playback. This did not use to happen till recently. Anyone experience similar?

hm, have you tried with another audio player like Clementine [ http://www.clementine-player.org/ ]?

As far as I can ascertain Nuvola, the cloud based Google Play front end does not skip. Banshee is my absolute favourite, I love the file queue feature alone, but will try Clementine. I am running 64-bit Xubuntu. I've tried installing restricted extras, did not help.

Was using older version of Banshee installed via Ubuntu Software Centre. Adding Banshee Team PPA then updating; listened 9 minute MP3 no skipping!
