Adding Memory to the x31

#1 Post by sunshine14 » Thu Jul 22, 2004 2:01 pm

Can anyone help me? I would like to add some memory to my x31 (I only have 256 right now) but am not sure what type to buy!

Thanks!

I bought a 512MB dimm from crucial. It works great.

I bought two 512meg dimms from Kingston and they work great. I did have to return one and they sent a different version of it to me, the first on eseemed to give me memory errors. I since figured out it may have been a software configuration problem I was having and not the memory. They were very helpful, and had good prices. Their website will tell you which dimm to buy based on your model number.

Bought an Kingston ValuRam (i.e. those cheaper generic ones instead of the specific model) for my X31. Works fine too.
