when installing ibm rescue and recovery it keeps saying return code 6 error25014 installing the rescue and recovery boot manager ,any ideas how to fix?

the computer i am using is a
NetVista personal computer 8303-21G
Intel Pentium 4 2.0GHz (512KB), 256MB, 40GB 7200RPM IDE HDD, PCI Desktop (4x3), Intel Extreme Graphics, 48x CD-ROM, Intel 10/100 Ethernet, Windows XP Professional
what i want to do is back up the ibm perloaded files on to cd
