As far as I know, none of the old or new Thinkpads supports TV out through VGA.

So basically, the T400 doesn't have TV-Out, no S-Video, no DVI, nor HDMI, no DisplayPort either... and the only way to display something on a TV is through a converter ... an extra $50.
And buying the mini dock for $150 doesn't solve the problem. Shame at Lenovo. I mean even all the basic notebooks on the market have at least S-Video. Shouldn't a business notebook have more options for external displays? Stuck with the VGA. And if you need DVI just bring your docking station. Smart.
Really disappointed. Even my old Thinkpad 600E had TV-Out.
