Lemme get this straight...

You are actually considering sending money to someone in Oz, who joined the forum YESTERDAY, for a machine that is vaguely described, has an unknown supervisor password set, and might be stolen??????:shock:

No offense dawinder singh sagoo, but unknown passwords make most people suspicious. Why can't you just ask the person who gave it to you for the password?

Planar = motherboard.

Dawinder gi, read the Hardware Manual for your machine and you'll find instructions for removing a Power On PW.

Sorry Guru! :lol:

It depends on what kind of password we're talking about: Supervisor or Power-on.

If it's Supervisor, you either need to replace the motherboard or change the EEPROM chip (which a guy in Australia sells....)

shhh...you guys aren't helping...LOL, just kidding, but sagoo says he doesen't want the laptop.

without getting past the password, it's impossible to tell whether the hard drive, etc are OK or not, so it's not worth a whole lot

sagoo- gimme a shout if you've got a paypal account!
