While online my internet connection suddenly stops working about every one to three days.
When coming out of Sleep the internet connection works half of the time but seems to be working less and less.
For several years now I have used the diagnostic and repair from control panel as a fix and it has only worked once.
The solution for the above has been a reboot, which works 100%, but is time waste; I am having to reboot more these days.
I am not sure which system is in control of my laptop's wireless and have included a photo of my Taskbar to show. Currently running services include: AcSvc.exe, AcLaunchWirelessLanUI.exe, ACTray.exe, ACWLicon.exe, SvcGuiHlpr.exe, AcPrfMgrSvc.exe. If 'Windows Wireless Service" is running I don't know how to find it. My Access Connections 4 v 4.52 (photo-C) says "the current wireless connection is being managed by the Windows Wireless Service or another service". http://img207.imagevenue.com/img.php?im ... _232lo.jpg
I am not sure of what exactly to do to make my internet connection better. I have updated Vista from MS to help but it was mostly security related. I don't have SP1 or 2 installed, I tried several ways to have them installed but MS update didn't list it for me to install. I would have to manually install it, which I didn't do.
