Scratches on LCD Screen

#1 Post by mezcal » Wed Dec 15, 2010 3:13 am

Hi, has anyone had scratches on their LCD screen from the slightly raised buttons below the TrackPointer?

I keep my X100e in a neoprene (wetsuit material) cover in a padded notebook shoulder bag and have recently had to place thicker adhesive rubber pads on the top corners of the screen to prevent further scratching.

I've contacted Lenovo but still haven't heard anything from them.

Does anyone have a direct link I should be using (From Australia)?

Thanks for your time guys,

mezcal

I'd say just call and use your warranty.

After a few hassles getting though to Lenovo, the forum member: lead_org was a fantastic help - he escalated the case & made sure top-level people at Lenovo were made aware of the issue & it was sorted out, to my great satisfaction).

If anyone has similar problems getting repairs or problems sorted via Lenovo's technical support department, then I couldn't recommend lead_org more highly; a complete professional who will bend over backwards to make sure your experience with the Lenovo brand is of the highest quality.

He has renewed my faith in Lenovo & I certainly won't hesitate to make them my next ThinkPad purchase :smileyvery-happy:

Thank you lead_org
