760XL Battery Life and Poor Man's SSD

#1 Post by ozzymud » Thu May 12, 2011 1:02 pm

I just got a reconditioned battery in for my 760's... They are running with a CF2IDE adaptor and a 4GB 133X CF card... the battery life is roughly 3 hours with light use and a pcmcia network inserted. Not bad at all i think :)

P.S. these guys at impact computers seem to have a LOT of stuff for older thinkpads, they ship pretty fast too...

Yea, well at least for their batteries... I can vouch for the quality, the last couple of "reconditiond" batteries i got from ebay cost similar ($30)... but one i sent back, and the other only holds about 45min charge (It does however allow bios flash, so i kept it :P )

This one from Impact holds charge very well, it's actually a 1st for me to be able to run it for a couple hours without AC :)
