R&R question

#1 Post by Tõnis » Thu Sep 22, 2011 6:58 pm

When I go into Rescue and Recovery, and I choose the option to create a backup to Cds/DVDs, the following description is displayed:

"Save a complete backup of your hard drive to CDs/DVDs"

Does this mean that all the data on my hard drive is also backed up onto the DVDs I make, or just the system/os?

Thanks,

T.

I'll answer my own question. Yes, the backup backs it all up (at least my version does). Today I used R&R with some password protected DVD's I had made about a month ago. It restored even my data. My pics and everything were there.

I saw your question when I was abroad and had a poor internet connection so I was unable to answer straight away. It is good to know that you found out that R&R does what it says on the tin. Some people don't like it. Each to their own, but it has worked well for me. 8)

Thanks, Killer. But why don't some people like R&R?

@Tõnis: No idea, matey, but a lot of people seem to prefer Acronis True Image. Maybe it is better? However, R&R has always worked well for me. 8)
