Hi,

I've seen a thread on this before, but can't search it up. I am about to solder my wireless switch on my x61 to always on. The thing lives it own life, perhaps the biggest engineering flaw with the x6x-series. I saw that someone else had done this, but can't find any information. Help, anyone?

No need to solder it, just leave it in the ON-position all the time.
It's the little switch on the front-bottom of your laptop. When 'green' shows, it is ON.
You will also have to set it so that power-saving cannot switch it off when not used for a certain time.

It keeps deciding for it self wheter the on-position is on or off, so basically the switch has gone bad. Probably connection problems. Even placing my wrist on the computer can sometime trigger it to go off/on-mental. And, since this is a hardware switch it seems there is no option to disable it neither in the bios or in the os...
