Does anybody know if I can run Ubuntu's Unity interface on an X32?
Are there any problems I need to look out for when running Ubuntu on an X32?
Thanks.

Not sure on the Unity interface, but both Ubuntu and Macbuntu both run fine on my x31's. For that matter they both run fine on x30's also.

Re: Ubuntu Unity interface on the X32?
I had unity working with no big problems in a T41 with 1GB RAM. I think the graphic cards should be similar although I don't remember by heart the exact graphic card model of an X32.
But it was a short test since I moved to Linux Mint 11, but I don't think there's a reason it shouldn't work fine. Why don't you try using am Ubuntu CD or USB stick?

RE: Ubuntu Unity interface on the X32?
Thanks for the replies. Trying a live CD would be a good idea. I've got to get around to fitting the X32 motherboard to my old X31 first.
Oh no. Just this very moment I realised that I am going to need to buy new RAM as well. D'oh!
