The big, the small, and the tiny ;-)
I've promised in another thread of mine to take some pictures to show brightness and viewing angles of my WUXGA display of my new Intel T61 compared to my X41T. As this Frankenpad is the biggest one in my collection I though I could pull one of my smallest ones as well to do a size comparison as well
It follows the screen comparison between T61i"P" with the X41T, the small one is out this time... Sorry for the pictures quality, it's slighty grainy since my camera is an old and simple one and can't handle poor light situations. I've also changed the background picture of the X41T to the same one of my modded T61.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Re: The big, the small, and the tiny ;-)
There are three ThinkPad referred to in the thread title, and three in many of the pictures, yet I don't see any mention of the third model in the text. Is "tiny" a 240X?
Nice line-up BTW.

Awesome machines!
European keyboard layout on all of them, I see. I'm not too fond of it (mostly due to the small left shift key).

You have a nice collection!
The best way to compare viewing angles would be to display an all-black desktop on each screen. Most (though not all) TN screens would turn white when viewed at wide angles

Well, it's what we normally use here The original T61 came with an US layout, but I've switched it with a new German keyboard I had that was brand new. I don't mind US Keyboards, but I'm used to the big Enter keydr_st wrote:European keyboard layout on all of them, I see. I'm not too fond of it

Re: The big, the small, and the tiny ;-)
Sweet, I only do ubuntu LTS releases. So right now all my computers have lucid, except for my bro's dell duo. I upgraded that to 11.10 because unity is great for touch screens. I only have a t30 and an r30. My dad found the t30 in a trash can, and my old teacher gave me the r30. Both are in very good condition. only problem is that the r30 has a bios password and those are basically impossible to remove. My teacher doesn't even remember what the password is, thats why he gave it to me. the t30 has 1gig of ram with a 1.6GHz p4 and the r30 has a p3 with I believe 512mb.Tasurinchi wrote:It's Ubuntu 11.10 on the T61, Linux Mint 11 on the X41T and Win98 FE in the 240...

That's something I'm also tempting to do, but I will probably wait for the next LTS versionAntarctica32 wrote:Sweet, I only do ubuntu LTS releases
