FS Stuff I clearing out - Spring Cleaning -

#1 Post by Bill Z » Sat Feb 11, 2012 3:29 pm

It is raining and I’m working inside, so it is clean up time to give me more space now, for more stuff later.

Please, only folks in the continental 48 states purchase this stuff. I will mail using USPS shipping rates to get them to you as cheap as I can.
Mostly IBM things I have around that someone out there just may need. I just hate to toss stuff when others just maybe needing them. Everything works except the specific items where I mention that they don’t. The items that don’t work, are being sold for the good parts on them only.
I’m prepared to make specials on more than 1 item, plus shipping will only be what it cost me to send it to you. I can put a bunch in a box. Think about a reasonable offer.
Payment:
I accept payment via PayPal, USPS money order, Western Union, MoneyGram, or cash (USD only, please). Local pickup is just fine with me.
Pictures:
Pictures available for anything below. Just tell me what you really want to see int he picture.

The list:

I’m not sure how much you know about IBM Thinkpads. So please don’t be offended with what I will be telling you.
Look up Type 2647-9BU on http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/default.page? It will tell you all about the machine, like video, cpu…
What I can confirm is that it has a 60Gb 7200 RPM hard drive with no OS.
Has a P3 850Mhz CPU and 512Mb or RAM. It has a DVD drive FRU 27L4087
Like I mentioned above, it has the camera FRU02K5153 that snaps on to the lid.
While looking up this information, I did notice 1 line horizontal across the screen mid way. May bother you but I didn’t notice it at first.
I booted Ubuntu via DVD and everything seems to work fine.

PM me with your e-mail address and I’ll send you a picture of the screen.

Let me know if you are still interested or not.

I know I can do a parts lookup -- but since with machines that old it's not uncommon to have replaced/upgraded/removed components I wanted to double check. :D

I found a Mitsumi 1.44 USB floppy I'll sell you for $5.00 plus postage. I tested it with the only XP machine I have and it works. It will fit in one of those Flat rate envelopes.

Let me know.

Thanks for pulling out this old stuff!

I can't believe how long it's been since I've used a floppy. It'll be nice to know that when the eventual time comes again I'll have a solution already in hand.

And thanks for finding a very affordable shipping method 8)
