I just replaced the cable for my LCD because my old one was failing. This involved taking off the keyboard, handrest, keyboard bezel, display bezel, and removing the LCD. Upon reassembling, closing the lid is no longer registered.

Where is the lid switch on an x200 located? I must have messed something up when putting it back together.

Thanks in advance!

The lid switch is a Hall effect switch, not a mechanical switch. The magnet that activates it is the USB port closest to the fan air vent. The Hall effect device is on the end of the "dogleg" off the LCD cable which lands on top of that USB port when the lid is closed..

Awesome! Thanks for the info. The dogleg in the old cable wasn't attached to anything, so I just left the new one behind the panel. I know how to fix it now.

Thanks!
