#2401 Post by TuuS » Mon Feb 20, 2012 11:25 pm

I've had so many good trades lately that it's hard to remember to comment on them all, so I'm going to try to do some catchup here...

jaobedoza Very nice repeat buyer that just got a couple batteries from me, thanks

ajkula66 George is always a pleasure to do business with, we recently completed a very complex swap invovling some international shipping, trading of parts, and x61 tablet that's had all it's guts replaced. Can't recommend anyone higher.

gibradford Glenn is a repeat buyer, having purchased multiple systems from me, most recently I built him a T61p/T61 frankNpad.

CanadianDude is another who is honest and sincere, he's purchased from several of us and i've had the pleasure to get to know him over the past few weeks. Highly recommend.

projanen is the lucky sole who got my T61 8895-2fu with Penryn system board. He quickly recognized it's rarity and grabbed it within an hour of being posted. I've since decked it out for him and sent it off with a docking station and a bunch of other goodies, and a huge bag full of ram chips for his many projects at his university.

CoolRunnings is another multiple repeat buyer who just grabbed a nice high-end T400 barebones system, as well as joining in on a special order where I purchased AC adapters by the caseload.

StanleySinclair is a wonderful gentleman who sent me his T61p to completely refurb after a fatal nVidia failure. He was very nice, generous and sincere.

I know I'm forgetting loads of you, and I'm sorry, I really am but it's just so hard to keep track of all the good experienes I've had, and I'll also add that I've never had a problem that couldn't easily be resolved, either as a buyer or a seller.

Thanks to all!!!

Wanted to give a word of thanks to a handful of folks for recent transactions:

Thanks to ThinkRob for two excellent hard drives, running on one as we speak, great packaging and quick delivery - THANKS!

Thanks to KAQSP for a pretty good T61, great price, needed a little cleaning and a few more parts than expected (though I am extremely picky!), but again, great price and a great deal - Thanks again!

Thanks to TuuS for a fan for the above and great advice. I'm thinking we'll have another transaction soon.

A huge thanks to BobA for multiple transactions over the past year and some really great pricing on multiple machines to support a mission group I work with in Honduras. Thanks so much!

Thanks to projanen for a fan for my X60s so it will quit growling at me. Thanks!

Thanks to all on here for a great board.

Thanks!

Not a problem :) should have mentioned you in the above post, all of our dealings have been very positive.

I've also had quite a bit more so I really should be compiling a list to make sure I don't leave anyone out.

Thank you George, feeling is mutual.

Also had a very pleasant transaction with JeffCullen. He's now the owner of a T61 frankNpad board that he's fitting in a T60.

Here's my first round of feedback for forum members. I've had a great experience here so far:

TuuS sold me a 4:3 SXGA+ T61 with Penryn Intel GMA board. It is every bit as excellent as he described. He recognized that this laptop was in too good condition to part out. Additionally, TuuS was able to offer a variety of upgrades and accessories to complete my system, and he provided lots of answers to many of my curious questions regarding these motherboards and other topics.

wackyD was gracious to share a number of X6x extended batteries with this community. He sold me two that he had tested to be good, and they were. He also included some dead ones that I can tinker with some time. He was also a good buyer in grabbing an X6x fan/heatsink assembly from me.

Thinkpad Lover sells T60's with awesome UXGA panels. I got a T60p with an excellent chassis. Nice laptop!

Bill Z recently offered up a collection of old, used IBM accessories. I found three needed items. Two old power adapters are in perfect working order for two of my legacy systems. And the IBM USB floppy drive is now working great with my newer machines.

ajkula66 sold me a very nice X61 Tablet. George was also able to round up a few helpful items for some other projects I am working on, and he included them in the shipment. Plus he had good advice and info for both this and my other tablet.

ThinkRob sold me two sticks of DDR3 RAM for a great price and quick shipping. Both tested out, and one is already in a working system.

More recently, TuuS purchased three X6 UltraBases from me in a very quick and easy transaction.

T1000 also bought an X6 UltraBase from me in an easy transaction.

[I haven't listed everybody yet, because I haven't had the time or hardware to test everything out...]

You'll have to excuse the lovin, but this particular gentleman is fully deserving of praise.

ajkula66 aka George is without doubt one of THE nicest people i have had the pleasure of dealing with. I rather timidly approached him with the hope he could help point me in the direction of an A31p with Wifi. He didn't just point me in the right direction...he took it upon himself to build me a downright beautiful custom A31p along with countless extras, restore discs and a spare lid with antennae and LCD! All of this, like a real magician, he rustled up within the space of a couple of weeks...kept me fully updated regarding its process, pictures and all...pushed it to its limits to ensure it was fit for duty and then bomb-proof packed it for its journey across the Atlantic. Along the way we conversed about anything and everything :D

George, i thank you and salute you...you are an absolute credit to this community and a downright lovely guy. It's been an absolute privelige to have done business with yourself and i implore others considering your listings to do the same.

Good luck with your future sales! :thumbs-UP:

Here to put in a good word for slangeditorial, whose X200s reached me on other side of the Atlantic immaculately packed, and in mint condition, exactly as described. Now I'm off to put it to good use, thanks Ivan!

Thinkpad Lover for selling and shipping me a brand new legit 8 cell battery for my X61s.

Arrived much faster than I imagined and was very well priced.

Just made me fall in love with my X61s even more.

All I need now is a SXGA+ IPS screen. Don't sell those do you?
