I don't see why not. I have a X60t running modified BIOS and Intel 6300 just fine.

Where can you get the bracket from? I've been trying to find what it is called or where to buy it from, to fit a mini 3B card into a full size mini 3A slot.

Simply searching for "mini pcie bracket" on eBay should get you there.

Hello,

I have a X61s with midlettons's BIOS and putting different intel-lenovo wifi cards (with FRU) was never a problem - I have changed a few.

Now, I wanted to buy an Intel 6300 myself and I had two options:

1) An Intel 6300 card without FRU number, supposed to work with any generic laptop, and
2) An Intel 6300 Lenovo card with FRU 60Y3193, supposed to work with W700, W700ds, W701, W701ds EDGE L412, L512, T410, T410i, T410S,T510, W510,X201/X201i/X201T/X201S, Y460, 560.

My natural instict was to go for the second one, but the seller asked whether I know what am I doing (argh!), so please, has anybody any thoughts?

With Middleton's BIOS you can use ANY wifi card.
A 6300 normally requires 3 antenna wires, but can also run with 2 wires.
If you have only 2 wires, get the 6200.
If you want Wimax as well, get 6250.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
