Thinkpad T20 wont boot

#1 Post by arty_harvy » Sun Apr 29, 2012 1:06 pm

Details:

Thinkpad T20 2647
Pentium 3? (Unsure because I have never had the system running)
Hitachi 40GB
256MB RAM

A friend asked me to fix the system and I have not been able to get very far. Info I recieved from them was that it worked one day, and the next day it did not. At first, when plugged in, the battery indicator light was orange, and pressing the power button did nothing. The first thing I tried was resetting the CMOS. I pulled the battery, unplugged the power, and held the power button for 30 seconds. Now, instread of an orange battery indicator light, It lights up green. Now, when I press the power button, the battery indicator, and the HDD indicator flash, but nothing else happens. Next I tried replacing the CMOS battery. I bought a cheapie from fleabay and there was no change at all. At this point I think there might be something wrong with the MOBO.

Any ideas guys?
