Recently had very nice experiences buying from:

CanadianDude
RRHODY

Both delivered ThinkPad in better shape than described...and at excellent prices! If you ever have opportunity to deal with either, you have nothing to worry about.

The Land of the Amazon: Positive feedback for FAIR Traders

DenTP4rm wrote:Giving credit where credit is truly due, had a smooth and rewarding transaction with Thinkpad Lover. Two Thinkpads, three mini docks, batteries, and a host of smaller items. You won't regret dealing with Daniel. He's friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about Thinkpads. I don't know where he gets his supply but it's top notch stuff. If he doesn't have something listed ask him about it and I bet he'll find it.

Dan, thanks again for a great transaction. Looking forward to doing more business in the future.
Thanks Dennis. A pleasure and a privilege to serve a fellow brother in Christ. Dennis is down to earth, easy to deal with, an ideal buyer- knows what he wants, asks the right questions, makes an informed decision, follows through with prompt payment. Lets you know one way or the other what he wants and what he doesn't want: ("...let your YES mean yes and your NO mean no..."- my personal paraphrase of Matthew 5:37, the Holy Bible).

Dennis (DenTP4rm) returns emails with clear answers to questions and suggestions. As busy as anyone out there yet he takes the time to communicate in a clear and courteous manner. Patient, flexible, reliable- just a nice fellow to deal with. After lengthy and exhaustive dealings I give him one of the highest recommendations I have ever given to a buyer and fellow member of this Forum.

God's many Blessings to you in Brazil. Keep up the good work among the needy in the Land of the Amazon (Floresta Amazônica or Amazônia in your adopted Portuguese tongue). I hope you Brazilians realize a good portion of the Amazon Rain Forest falls within the southern border of the nation of Guyana (a beautiful land, which I left as a young child). Positive feedback for TuuS

I had a bad fan in a T61 14.1 widescreen and bought a replacement from TuuS. The fan arrived well packed in a sturdy box and works like a charm. I'd mega highly recommend.

A very good experience with my purchase from forum member stuffinder. He made a great job of packaging up a X301 and shipping it 14,000kms to Aotearoa New Zealand. All my pre purchase questions were answered promptly and accurately.

This is for ThinkPad Lover.

Daniel is a great person to deal with and he has a huge heart!

I purchased different items from him including a IPS panel for my T60 (15”), a Mini Dock Series 3 + for my W510 (or W410i…not sure if it fits), a battery for my T61p (or T500 that is coming soon…I think it fits it but not sure), a new replacement lid for the T60 incase it ever needs one, two keyboards (blue bumper) for the T60 series, one keyboard for my T43 (again blue bumper) .

Daniel was very understanding of my money issues and worked with me. He is a gentleman through and through! I highly recommend him to anyone that wants to do business with him. BTW, everything was packaged with care and layers of bubble wrap.

Take care,
John

Thanks "LASTGUY2GETPS2", it was as smooth and pleasant a transaction as anyone could hope for. Purchased on friday, shipped saturday, received monday, thanks to some help from our friends at usps.

ps. Thanks also to "Mitchell", who gave me a great deal on an older thinkpad and took extraordinary measures to get it shipped. Highly recommended.

I recently bought a X61 SXGA+ converted laptop from Raceboy. The laptop was in great condition, just as he described. Communication was fast and to the point, he shipped as soon as he received payment, and the packaging was safe enough to avoid any mishaps during transit. Overall, it was as smooth a transaction as it could be, and I would happily deal with him again anyday!

Peep, thank you for our great transaction, looking forward to dealing with again!

Got another hdd caddy bay thingy from TuuS. Works great. Thanks

Only irk I have with it is I need a butter knife to pull the caddy out. The release tab doesn't seem to work. Not a big deal, as I don't see any need to use my disk drives anyway

Glad it arrived safely. As for the ejection, that mechanism is part of the laptop, not the ultrabay device. If it's a T series I should have any parts you need to fix it, if it's an older series, then ajkula66 is the man to speak to, however there is a good bit of disassembly required to repair these things.

ps. thanks for quick payment, and a smooth transaction.

It is an R51. I don't think I would need anything to fix it. As I said, I don't plan on removing it. No need for any of the three cd drives I have for the r51. So I was either going to put a black piece of plastic to have the bay empty, or a hard drive.

All is well. Thanks

It's my first post here - (warning: I like to write a lot)

Recently bought a new laptop T420 1600x900. It's nice. I didn't know much about what I was doing and didn't so much care. I bought a Lenovo Tablet to go with it (thought it was better money spent than an X220T). Anyway - I decided to get a second laptop - maybe put Linux on it. Thought I'd get a beaten up used one so I headed over to ebay looking for a used Thinkpad X series but 1400x1050. (I'm an ex-IBMer and love 1400x105).

On a whim I came over here and bought an X60 from ajkula66 (George).

Here's my problem. I wanted an old beater!

What I got was an old X60 that's in better shape than my T420 that's less than 4 months old. Seriously. To say I'm glad I walked over here to this forum was an understatement. I spent about $70 more than I wanted to originally - but figured it was worth it for piece of mind - and I'm with a machine that has a good battery and is barely used that is in my beloved 1400x1050 with all the pieces ALL in good shape.

His post said "no disappointments". I say, no kidding!

There are NO ebay sellers testing units before they ship! I'm thrilled and chuffed. Will probably put Linux on the T420 - I love the way Windows is setup on the little guy.

Thanks George :)

Note:

Will also say that I had originally purchased a machine from ThinkpadLover that fell through. Very communicative the whole time and refunded immediately. That's a positive interaction even without purchase.

Hi Guys,

This positive feedback is for TuuS. He is a knowledgeable and kind gentleman. We have sent a few emails back and forth on what to do with my t61p. Just purchased two ultra bay adapters and got them very quickly and packaged excellent. Bubble wrap around and around and in the middle! He is an honest person to deal with.

Take care,

I have purchased a wifi card from Thinkpad Lover, Intel WM3B2200BG, and the card arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Daniel also went so far as to point me in the right direction for the drivers so that I could get my T40 up and running. I would definitely do business with him again and would not hesitate recommending his services.

I purchased a Genuine Lenovo ThinkPad Battery 47++ from Daniel (ThinkPad Lover/Tiger Enterprises) and could not be happier with it's performance (12+ hours on idle @ 6.71W and 9+ hours active @ 8.31W).

Daniel did inform me that the battery had one cycle on it already which is in line with how I work in retail which really impressed me. He was also quite patient with me while I got the funds together to purchase the battery and again when there was an error in my mailing address and I paid for him to ship it via UPS instead of USPS (due to the ban on LI-ION batteries). Through it all he kept me updated on what was going on and very friendly and professional about it. The battery was shipped in enough foam and bubble wrap that it was hard to feel where the battery actually was inside which I really liked.

I would definitely do business with him again.

Wanted to put in a good word for Ellis at LaptopScreen.com ("LSB" here in the ThinkPads forum).

I purchased a replacement LCD for my teenage daughter's Samsung laptop, which she broke when discovering the laws of gravity. The physics lesson was then followed by an economics lesson. :-)

Ellis recommended which manufacturer would likely give me the best result, and he was spot on. The new screen was lovely.

Price was reasonable, packaging was good, and shipping time from Vancouver, BC to the Washington, DC area was fine. Satisfactory all the way around.

LaptopScreen.com's inventory changes frequently, even for the same part number. If you have a preference for certain manufacturers over others, you can specify that in the comments when placing an order on their Web site.

I will definitely buy from them if I need an LCD again.

Hey everybody. This is my first post on this forum. I was recently told this is a good site to find an older Thinkpad tablet. I ended up buying an X61T from ajkula66 (George).

I had a lot of questions but George was patient and helpful and answered them all. In his post he said the X61T was in outstanding condition. It did indeed come in great condition. Definitely an honest seller. I would highly recommend buying from ajkula66. Very smooth transaction.
