Strange display fault on TP750c

#1 Post by mnowell69 » Thu May 31, 2012 4:18 pm

hi. Just got a TP750c and the screen is faulty. Basically it is lit up, but the picture is polarised ( think it's the right term) the screen is very bright all the time and you can't see anything relevant unless you look at the screen at a funny angle. then you can see whats actually there. Hope i have explained the problem well enough. I imagine the inverter would be faulty because the information is being delivered to the screen correctly.

Hope somebody has an idea. thanks

If all you're seeing is white, that's something wrong with the LCD panel or its cable. The inverter just makes power for the backlight. If something were wrong with it, the screen would be black.

in fact it is all green, a very bright, but lucid green, and when you squint slightly you can make out waht is on the display. i re-seated the cable and wiggle the cable about and nothing changed. Sadly i don't have a spare screen. So my next question would be one of compatibilty. Which screens can i use with the 750c? The HMM lists the 355, 750, 755 etc all together but are the screens interchangeable?
