Searched for 'hinge' in the search field, nothing relevant came up so...
One of the hinges on my SL400 broke (big surprise). Looking at the HMM, there are two FRUs for a set of hinges - 43Y9688 and 43Y9689. Without opening the laptop up, would either FRU suffice? Or are there minute differences that would render one incompatible with my machine?
Machine type is 2743. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

Re: SL400 Hinge FRUs
I broke my left hinge too. Where the metal connects to the metal chassis/motherboard frame. I was thinking epoxy or a metal clip could do the job. I'm not sure if it could be replaced without getting a parts-only spare thinkpad. Do you think yours is fixable?
